This is a very easy DIY project for you guys. This wall mounted bottle opener is the perfect project for any beginner and something even the kids can help out with, it also makes a perfect gift.
For this project I used a single ceder fence plank. Its an awesome, inexpensive piece of wood that you can pick up from home depot or lowes for usually under $3 but any 1×6 plank of wood will do.
What you will need:
- 6′ Ceder fence plank 1×6 (or any long plank of wood)
- Wood glue
- Nails or Nail gun
- Clamps
- Bottle opener wall attachment
- Hand Saw or Miter Saw
Wood Cuts:
- 3 – 4″ pieces (sides)
- 1 – 6″ piece (bottom)
- 1 – 21″ piece (back)
You can make these cuts with a hand saw or to speed things up a miter saw if you have one.
Next I did a pre-test assemble to make sure everything fit.
I then took it apart and applied a dark walnut stain
Next I applied a little wood glue, assembled using clamps and put a couple nails in with a nail gun and let it sit for at least 30-60 mins for the glue to dry.
I’ve made a bunch of these and the finish project always comes out so cool looking. Get creative, paint or stain to your style!
